Automation system for cap-strip applicator operation. Electronic Gearing is used between two Servo motors. One servo motor through a gear reducer and timer pulley belt system drives a Shaft on which a cylindrical drum is mounted. Another servo motor is connected to a ball screw which drives a cap strip delivery mechanism. The cap strip has to be applied on to the drum as it rotates like threading operation i.e. For a specified number of revolution of the drum, the cap strip delivery mechanism has to move across the width of the drum to a specified distance.
