This is a standardized software developed as a base platform so that the code is repeatedly reusable for future applications. The system uses a Failsafe Simatic PLC to implement Automation of Railway Signaling Systems. The MIMIC represents the actual station signal components provided for operator control. Wincc based HMI was developed for logging the runtime operations. All the interlocks related to Signals & routes were configured in the PLC as per the Indian Railway safety requirements. The software and HMI is structured to be modular and easily configurable. Configuring and implementing a new station using this standard takes approx. 3 days.
The scope of work included:
- Software development
