Automation system and drives for 4 roll rubber calendaring machine. The four roll calendar has roll diameter of 69’’ and the roll width of 1.8 meter. The machine laminates rubber on both sides of textile fabric at 30 mpm. All four rolls have independent drives. Direct tension control can be achieved optionally by using dancer roll or load cell feed back. All the field logic, auxiliary and operating desk control interlocks are in S7 PLC.
