Automation system to control  pigging of oil lines from on shore tank farm to off shore oil platform (approx 12 Km). The system uses Simatic S5 115H and COROS SCADA. The OIL from storage tank is conveyed offshore (12 KM) to the tank farm system.

This pigging system was developed for periodical cleaning of the oil lines. Pig (cylinder) is passed through the line and received at other end. SCADA was used for controlling the line and displaying the online pigging status.

The scope of work included:

1. Design of control system.
2. Software development & Commissioning.
